I wouldn’t normally write about an event in Dubai because it’s rare you find one that fits under ‘fun for free’.
What other Dubai music event do you know that costs nothing, is held on weekend and transports you to the underground warehouse parties of London?

This is the second Fred Perry Sub Culture event held in Dubai and by accident I’ve attended both amazing events. It is so refreshing to attend an event that is outside a club or bar scene that is all we know of Dubai nightlife.
‘Sub-Sonic’ Live of Fred Perry is pushing the region’s musical talent with the best new music, musical heritage and amazing DJ’s.

Think Fred Perry brand mixed with London Underground music culture – right here in Dubai.
– Live Music – check
The music from this event was Who Killed Bruce Lee (Beirut) and legendary Punk & Reggae DJ Don Letts.
– Warehouse location – check
– Free drinks – check
– Ridiculously cool hipster crowd (I was sooo out of it wearing heels and a dress) – check
– Fred Perry table tennis table (I guess this is the tennis brand heritage?) – check
So to give you a quick round up – here is a couple of pics from me:
Katie wears open denim shirt from Cotton On and skirt made from her own design.
This couple were just too cute in matching outfits and Vans:
Katie and the owner of I Heart Nailz, Business Bay:
Me and the lovely Farah from Dress Code:
I’m wearing local designer handmade pop clutch by Stash Dubai.
I totally recommend this event for something fun, different and free BUT you need to be invited or on the guestlist – to get updated for next time just like both pages on Facebook:

Organisers promise the next event will open to a wider audience. So I’m guessing after Ramadan – stay tuned.
