Affordable Style – The Turban.

I’ve spoken about Natalia’s style before. She’s a perfect example of mixing designers with high street fashion and local designers. I can’t wait to post her style from yesterday’s Dubai World Cup Horse Race where she won best dressed couple with her husband (I’ve also got a DIY on a fascinator I created for myself).

That said, Natalia is the inspiration for today’s blog post – the Turban. (Instagram: Shoestovainstyle).

Fashionistas are still using Turbans to add a distinct edge to an outfit. The Kardashians to SJP… a turban can really set you apart.

Here is a picture of Natalia from her magazine event at Cavalli club in Dubai – hosted by The Art of Living magazine:

She is wearing:

Top & Skirt – Peter Pilotto (available on Net-a-Porter)

Bag – Sarah’s Bags – (love this designer – her affordable fashion pieces are amazing)

Turban – Asos

ASOS is my favorite online store and delivers to the UAE within days. They have huge range of turbans starting from 40AED. I love this one with the net available online and would set you back 70AED:

Now, if you don’t have a credit card and want to save some fils here is a Funfilsday recommendation:

Fida in the main street of Satwa is my favorite haberdashery store selling everything from buttons to ribbons, to feathers, gloves and hair pieces – you want to make a particular fashion piece they have you covered! I once made a scull brooch from here for 20AED. After hunting around the other day I saw they also sell Turbans – all different colors for 10AED! Check out their embellishments, buttons and other random items that you could sew or pin to the turban in order to make it your own unique piece. They have netting also so you could literally make this ASOS turban for less then 40AED.

Happy Satwa Style Shopping!
